SHANE

First edition of the Immortels collection (#1), dedicated to Shane MacGowan, great Irish composer and poet and leader of the legendary band "The Pogues".

On November 30, 2023, our beloved and admired Shane MacGowan passed away while we were transferring this wine (like a "blood transfusion") to the barrel where it would age through the winter and spring. It was then that we decided to create this Immortels collection and dedicate its first edition to Shane.

Months later we were lucky enough to get in touch with Victoria Mary Clarke, Shane's eternal love and travel companion, and send her two magnums (in specially engraved wooden cases) which she received in Dublin just before Christmas Day 2025.

The high quartz content in the soil of its vineyard of origin gives the wine tension and mineral character, as well as a certain austerity. This makes the wine initially appear more reserved, but as it breathes in the glass, it unfolds its full complexity: dried flowers over a light primary base of red fruit (tart cherry, sour cherry). On the palate, the wine is elegant, with tension and depth, like Shane's voice in Dirty Old Town.

SHANE was a limited edition of 237 bottles and 27 magnums.
